Welcome to K•yes Catholic Radio
ABOUT OUR RADIO STATION
K•yes Catholic Radio has expanded into the North and West areas of the St. Cloud Diocese. AM1070 is located in Verndale, MN, located halfway between Wadena and Staples. It is a 10,000 watt AM radio station that will reach from Little Falls to Perham to Fergus Falls to Alexandria down to Sauk Centre to Long Prairie and many towns in between. Along with AM1070, we also have the FM Translator that is located at 101.3 FM. It will reach about a 30 mile radius from Verndale. With the addition of these two radio stations, K•yes Catholic Radio will have the potential to reach more than 251,000 MORE people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Also, as of January 1, 2022, K•yes Catholic Radio will become a Non-Commercial AM Radio Station. This will give K•yes the ability to say "NO" to all political advertising! We will be moving from advertising to underwriting. See "Underwriting" for more details.
K•yes Catholic Radio was launched in August of 2009 with AM 1180 out of Kimball, MN by Andy and Carol Hilger. With 50,000 watts of power, it has the power of reaching all of central Minnesota, reaching about a 60 mile radius from Kimball. From it's original conception, K•yes Catholic Radio had the potential to reach more than 500,000 people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. In September of 2018, a FM translator was added, giving us the ability to be available on the FM dial at 93.5 FM.
By partnering with Relevant Radio® K•yes Catholic Radio provides the best Catholic programming radio has to offer. Combine that with many great locally produced programs and you have an inspiring, encouraging, entertaining and enlightening lineup.
