About K•yes Catholic Radio
K•yes Catholic Radio has expanded into the north and west areas of the St. Cloud Diocese. AM1070 is located in Verndale, MN, halfway between Wadena and Staples. It is a 10,000 watt AM radio station that reaches Little Falls, Perham, Fergus Falls, Alexandria, Sauk Centre, Long Prairie and many towns in between. Along with AM1070, we also have the FM translator that is located at 101.3FM. It reaches about a 30-mile radius from Verndale. With the addition of these two radio stations, K•yes Catholic Radio has the potential to reach over 251,000 MORE people with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Also, as of January 1, 2022, K•yes Catholic Radio became a non-commercial AM radio station. This gives K•yes the ability to say "NO" to all political advertising! We have moved from advertising to underwriting. See the "Underwriting" subpage for more details.
K•yes Catholic Radio was launched in August 2009 with AM1180 out of Kimball, MN, by Andy and Carol Hilger. With 50,000 watts of power, it has the capacity of reaching all of central Minnesota, extending about a 60-mile radius from Kimball. From its original conception, K•yes Catholic Radio had the potential to reach more than 500,000 people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. In September 2018, a FM translator was added, allowing us to be available on the FM dial at 93.5FM.
By partnering with Relevant Radio®, K•yes Catholic Radio provides the best Catholic programming radio has to offer. Combine that with many great locally produced programs and you have an inspiring, encouraging, entertaining and enlightening lineup.
